Cubs World Series Rings Stolen During Home Opener

Chicago – The 2016 World Series Champions Chicago Cubs, were robbed during their home opener just innings after receiving the diamond crusted rings.

Each ring is worth $70,000 according to the Chicago Police Department. They said the rings were taken between the 3rd and 4th inning. “The game was going so slowly, no one was paying attention,” said a staff member. “The game was so slow, I looked up and an hour had passed and we were still in the 1st inning.”

Cubs Manager Joe Maddon said, “That’s okay, we’ll win more rings this year.”

The FBI is looking into the same crime ring that stole Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey.

An announcer said each ring had 108 diamonds to represent the 108 year World Series drought.
